Job Purpose

Delivering quality projects that are on time and budget are critical to Secto’s performance. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of projects across all aspects of the business form an electrical point of view. Projects must be delivered to specification in accordance with agreed company standards.

This is mobile role and willingness to travel is a requirement.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Undertake Electrical activity both project and reactive for the company, ensuring delivery of a quality product or service.
  • Provide on call electrical support to customers.
  • Professional customer engagement.
  • Interact and respond to customer requests.
  • Carry out survey and site visits as required for new and existing scopes of work.
  • Ability to work to tight timelines.
  • Pro-active attitude generates ideas and inputs to deliverables to support the effectiveness and efficiency of the project.
  • Delivers on time.
  • A strong ethos on health and safety, compliance, reporting and documentation are an essential quality.
  • Performing Planned Preventative Maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Emergency testing and repairs
  • Data & Telecoms equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Fixed electrical testing
  • PAT testing
  • Generator maintenance
  • UPS maintenance
  • Small to medium size electrical project installs
  • Reactive Callouts
  • Out of hours support
  • Carry out your duties to meet Secto Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
  • Managing client relationships with the promotion of customer focus.

Requirements

  • Apprenticeship Qualified Electrician, 17th Edition, or an electrical engineering qualification.
  • Strong PC skills, particularly MS office suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Customer centric.
  • Critical environments experience Data centres, Telecoms, Network Infrastructures an advantage.
  • DC Systems, UPS and Generator systems and advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of repair and fault finding.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • A knowledge of air conditioning and mechanical systems an advantage.
  • Safe pass and manual handling is required.
  • Strong team working ethos.
  • Very good English language skills
  • Presentable appearance.
  • While experience in a telecoms/engineering role is not required, it would be considered an advantage.

All crew members must have: –

1. Safe Pass (valid and in date) or CSR (Northern Ireland).

2. Manual Handling (valid and in date)

3. Electrical Qualification, (valid and in date).

4. ESB Safety Induction Training (valid and in date)

At least one crew member must have: –

First Aid Training Cert (in date certification).
