Our history

2011

Formation

Secto Services Ltd is launched as a new, innovative telecoms company focused on premium customer service. Our first contracts include providing power, rigging and fibre infrastructure services to industry leaders such as O2, Meteor, Ericsson and ESB.

2012

Rapid service growth

Within a year, Secto is already expanding service offerings, to include design, network construction, network upgrade and maintenance of fibre optic, copper and HFC telecommunications. We also branch into the civil engineering sector, involved in large-scale projects such as steel tower foundation build-outs, steel tower erections and utility ducting installations.

2013

Customer growth and quality assurance

Secto further strengthens its industry position by partnering with new high-profile clients such as Eir Mobile, while expanding a portfolio of national domestic projects. We also secure the globally recognised quality assurance accreditation, ISO 9001.

2014

Further quality accreditation

Striving for excellence in all areas, Secto attains ISO standards in health and safety (ISO 45001) and environmental (ISO 14001).

2015

New HQ

Secto opens a new head office facility in Maynooth, and further expands its pool of prominent clients, including BT.

2016

Trusted partner

Secto marks its five-year anniversary by adding multiple household clients and achieving trusted partner status with several high-profile telecoms providers.

2017

New ownership

Secto is bought by serial entrepreneur and businessman Patrick Jordan, and industry veteran Connor Flanagan, who immediately launch an ambitious growth plan centred on investment in people, process and technology. We are awarded two major contracts — the home fibre T3000 Project, and a five-year mobile planned and reactive contract for one of Ireland’s largest operators, covering over 2,200 sites.

2018

New stores and service expansion

Secto secures sustaining / operations maintenance contracts with a large blue chip client, a giant leap towards pivoting beyond telecoms vendor services. We also open a state-of-the-art warehouse complex in Athlone, adding key resources in IT, HR and health and safety, while investing in a company-wide fleet of vehicles.

2018

Rebrand

A new logo represents Secto’s ethos, services and values — a letter S in the form of an upwardly pointing arrow, evoking progression, ambition, positivity, and also an abstract representation of a telecom tower.

2019

Business growth

Secto is awarded significant contracts in the fixed line (FTTH) and mobile build space (5G mobile upgrade). Our new Tech Services Division provides commissioning, operation maintenance and contract staffing resources to critical infrastructure clients.

2020

Expanding technical services

Secto places its first contract staff member into a large commissioning project for a multinational semiconductor client in Leixslip. Within 12 months the team has 35 members, and is still growing.

2021

New contracts

Secto adds a number of key strategic hires to the management team and secures a significant contract on the National Broadband Ireland Project.

2022

USA office launch

Secto launches its US tech services business, hires its first US-based employee, and opens an office in Phoenix, Arizona.
