MAINTENANCE & EXTENSION OF UG FIBRE OPTIC NETWORK

• Secto is currently on the framework for the maintenance and extension of the UG Fibre Optic Network with ESB until August 2022
• Scope includes maintenance and extension of the existing ESBT high capacity fibre optic network which has been predominantly constructed on the existing electricity infrastructure both UG and OH. The scope includes:
• Fibre Splicing & Testing in rurtal and urban locations and Electricity Stations, and terminations within ESBT PoP sites and at customer premises
• Planned & Emergency Repair of broken splices & broken fibres
• Installation of New Routes including wayleave, survey, Line Patrol and Scheduling, install cable/hardware, splice all figures, Test (ODTR + ILM), Deliver As Build Records and test results
• Management of Material and inventory and specialised installation Equuipment
• Typical Project: A number of projects involve the upgrade to connect H3Gi sites to ESBT fibre – Scope includes install chamber at telecoms sites, install pole, install duct system from chamber to the pylon leg and install fibre along length of route to connect to H3Gi site.

HISTORICAL RELATIONSHIP

• Repair of PTG network (Phase to Ground) in nationwide replacement programme
