Aerial Fiber Wrapping

Secto are completing overhead ‘Skywrap’ on earth wires and conductor on power lines from 38kv lines up to 400kv lines. Our personnel are trained & accredited to install overhead fiber cables and are accredited by AFL and ESB using the Tug & spinner combination.
Fiber wrap is a solution for rapid deployment of fiber optic cable over existing power line infrastructure. The fiber is installed by a Tug and spinner combination and can be either single or double wrapped.
Our PICW’s (Persons in charge of works) manage the end-to-end delivery of the wrapping solution including planning and documentation submission, our PICW’s are trained and certified in managing Telemess and all safety requirements for working on ESBN network.
Secto use our in house splicing crews to carry out all splicing requirements on the project. Through our helpdesk the teams also provide 24/365 nationwide reactive maintenance support to ESB for the existing fiber network.
Secto also provide regular planned maintenance crews which carry out Network Condition and faultfinding patrols utilizing thermal imaging or visual inspections.
Secto are approved to assemble phase to ground units which insulate fiber from the network for customer connections.
